Every ingredient is here for a reason, not just a scent.
Most "natural" deodorants lean on one ingredient to fight odor: baking soda. It works, but it comes at a cost for a lot of skin. Here's what we use instead, and the actual mechanism behind why it's gentler.
The Research-Backed Ingredients We Use Instead
Chamomile Extract
Calms the skin baking soda irritates.
We added chamomile because underarm skin is thinner and more reactive than most people realize it's exactly the kind of skin that shows irritation first.
Baking Soda Deodorants
Highly alkaline (pH ~8.3–9.5) against skin that sits naturally around pH 4.5–5.5, a mismatch shown to disrupt the skin barrier and increase redness (Lambers et al., International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 2006).
